About Me
Hi! I’m Destiny Symone, a full-time content creator, author, and the face, heart, and hands behind Cooking With Destiny! I was born on April 24, 1997, and I’m originally from a small town in South Carolina called Aiken. Cooking has always been my passion. As a child, I loved watching my grandmother make Sunday dinner, and I was always so eager to help. By the age of 14, I was cooking for my siblings and even doing most of the grocery shopping and I enjoyed every minute of it!
What started as a simple love for cooking turned into something so much bigger. I created a food page on social media to share my favorite recipes, and fast forward to today, I’ve inspired millions of you to bring joy to your tables (and bellies, of course lol).
On Cooking With Destiny, you’ll find mouthwatering, easy-to-follow recipes that your family will ask for again and again. My goal is to help you feel confident in the kitchen whether you’re cooking for one, for family, or for guests who always come back for seconds (or even thirds).
My very first job was at Sky Zone, a trampoline park! Outside of cooking, I’m obsessed with beauty and travel. Fun fact: when I was 18, I launched a cosmetic line called Destiny Cosmetics. I’ve also worked as a nanny for a few years, which I absolutely loved.
I’m the second oldest of four siblings. I have two brothers and a sister and family means everything to me. Traveling is one of my biggest joys! I’ve visited many beautiful countries, but Turks & Caicos holds a special place in my heart (I try to visit once a year!) My dream destination? Italy, for the food, the views, and the pasta, of course.
